And we'll soon see iPods in the shape of Mickey Mouse
Disney has just announced the acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios for a whopping $7.4 billion. IGN
Wow. I really didn't see that coming to be honest. I really thought Pixar would just break out on their own, and sign a distribution deal with someone else like Sony. But I guess with Eisner out of the driver's seat at Disney, the relationship between the two companies got better.
Another interesting tidbit, which is probably rumour more than anything else, is that people from Pixar like Steve Jobs and John Lasseter will hold major seats at Disney. This could easily lead to a merger between Apple and Disney!

sounds crappy. I would've preferred a non-disney relation. oh wellz. Then again, I guess Disney still has tricks in its' bag.
